The spherical case is the symbol of life, perched atop long flowing legs like a futuristic creature. Gently, the fluid shape embraces the skin. Compact, yet declaring a strong presence, here is a new form of watch.It is comfortable to wear – like an affectionate living entity winding itself around the arm. The urethane band holds tight using two pairs of spring belts.Also organic – “alive” – are the indicators of hours and minutes, pointing toward the center of the dial. A complex mechanism within the disc shape makes realization of the unique hand structure possible.The 3-D configuration was designed by Mr. Shunji Yamanaka.With a screw-type caseback, the watch is water resistant to ten atmospheres. The crown (not of a screw-lock type), too, is in the shape of a creature. Engraved on the caseback is a testament to the collaboration among designer Mr. Shunji Yamanaka, ISSEY MIYAKE and Seiko Instruments, Inc.
